On October 17, the Ukrainian Folk Decorative Art Museum opened an exhibition of Ukrainian batik. For the first time the works of famous Ukrainian artists of the 1950s - 2016 will be shown to the general public. The works are made in the technique of hot, cold batik and free painting. Holodomor victims' Memorial dedicated to the Holodomor tragedy of 1932-1933 in Ukraine was renamed. Today it’s called the National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide. The new name better covers the topic and shows that Holodomor is a genocide.
