Do you want to celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve in Kyiv? This year Kyivans and guests will be able to enjoy three celebration zones: Sophia Square, Kontraktova Square and People's Friendship Arch. The official New Year celebration will run from December 19 to January 19. The festive lighting of Christmas trees will traditionally take place on December 19 at 7 pm, on the day of St. Nicholas.
The holiday locations will be connected by the special festive route with the distance of 8 km. The route will also include a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge, St. Volodymyr's Hill, Artists' Alley and Andrew's Descent. Each of the holiday locations will have its own Christmas tree. Each location will have zones for children's entertainment, such as an ice rink, a Ferris wheel and an ice slide.
