The capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, in one year jumped 44 steps in the ranking of the most expensive cities for expats, taking 106th place. This is reported in a study by Mercer. Last year, the city was on the 150th line.
The most expensive cities to live and work abroad include Hong Kong (a special administrative region of China), Ashgabat (Turkmenistan), Tokyo (Japan), Zurich (Switzerland) and Singapore (Singapore). The last 209th place is taken by Tunisia (Tunisia).
When compiling the rating, Mercer took into account currency fluctuations, inflation and housing prices.
