Producer Olena Andreicheva from Kyiv, a resident of the UK now, received an Oscar for the best documentary short "Learn to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You're a Girl)". This is a 40-minute movie that previously won the BAFTA.
The film tells the story of the non-profit organization Skateistan, which established its skateboarding school in 2007 for girls from poor areas who study there to read, write and skate in Kabul (Afghanistan).
