The Ukrainian film Stranger won the best original screenplay nomination in Los Angeles, at the Hollywood Blood Horror Festival, an international horror film festival. The director and script writer of the film is Dmytro Tomashpolsky. In the Ukrainian film distribution Stranger is expected in 2020.
Ukrainian State Film Agency informs that “This is the second prize of the Stranger for the script: the first was received in Colombia, at the Festival De Sci-Fi, Terror u Fantasia in Bogota. In general, the film has already won eight awards at international film festivals in Japan, Canada, the USA and Colombia”.
According to the synopsis, the synchronized swimming team disappeared underwater in the pool during a performance. A patient at a hydropathic clinic disappeared while taking a coniferous-pearl bath. The connection between these cases, as well as how the doll with live hair relates to them, will have to be investigated by Inspector Glukhovska, whose career has not a single unsolved case. And she will have to find out who she really is.
