Ceramics from the city of Kosiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region, was included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. This is reported by ex-Minister of Culture Yevhen Nishchuk on Facebook.
He also added that he believes that the next nomination, which may be on the UNESCO list, will be the Crimean Tatar Ornek. The ex-minister also thanked the masters of Kosiv ceramics and the head of the charitable organization BF Authenticity of the Hutsul region, Maria Grynyuk, for participating in the UNESCO meeting and working in preparing the nomination. Unique ceramics are also created in the village of Kuty and in the village of Pistyn in the Carpathian region.
