A new mini-sculpture has appeared in the center of Ukraine's capital. Kyiv Letter was installed on the facade of the Brodsky Synagogue on Shota Rustaveli Street. It became the 23rd sculpture of the "Shukai" (Look for) Project. This is reported by Vechirniy.Kyiv.
The sculpture is an exact replica of a parchment dating from the X century. In it the name of Kyiv is written in Hebrew - Qiyyōb. The letter urges Jews in other cities to donate money for the ransom of Mar Jacob Ben Hanukkah, who was imprisoned because of his brother's debt. The legend of the sculpture is this: touch it - and you will be helped.
