Among 66 cities of the world that are included in the list of creative cities of UNESCO, there is Odesa. On October 30, UNESCO Director General Audrey Azoulay called 66 cities from around the world the creative cities of UNESCO. This is reported by depo.ua.
Odesa is the only city in Ukraine that has been included in the list of creative cities of UNESCO for all the years of its existence. A place on the list the city received thanks to advances in literature.
“All over the world, these cities, each in their own year, make culture a basis, not an accessory of their strategy. This contributes to political and social innovation, and is especially important for the younger generation,” said Azulay.
Currently, the UNESCO network of creative cities has 246 cities from around the world.
