Soon tourists will be able to enjoy balloon excursions in Chornobyl, it is planned to organize excursions for tourists on balloons. This is reported by Segodnya. According to Vitaly Petruk, who until recently headed the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone, balloon trips are safer than walking tours there.
There are also intentions to develop infrastructure in settlements adjacent to the exclusion zone. For example, the issue of arrangement of an additional hotel in Ivankovo of the Kyiv region is discussed.
In 2019, the number of tourists who visited Chornobyl increased. Now this number has exceeded 90 thousand people, and only 72 thousand people visited Chornobyl last year.
