Do you love museums? Do you want to learn more about Ukraine? The National Museum of Taras Shevchenko invites everyone to visit an exhibition of copies of ancient maps published in the XV - XVIII centuries, which was opened on 13 August. It is reported by Vechirniy.Kyiv.

Old maps of Ukraine

The oldest map is a copy of Ptolemy's map, printed by Gol Lingart in Ulm on July 16, 1482. The famous map among cartographers is the work of Guillaume de Boplan, "A Special and Detailed Plan of Ukraine, with Provinces, Counties, and Provinces", engraved and printed by Will Hondius. It is one of the first large-scale topographic maps of a large area in Europe. The organizer is the Museum of the Ukrainian MARK named after Jacob Balaban, Vinnytsia.
