Do you want to see how Ukrainians celebrate the Ukraine's Independence Day? On August 24, a patriotic family sports holiday “Vyshyvanka Run” will take place. Professional athletes, amateur runners, preschool and school age children dressed in vyshyvanka, the traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirt, will overcome chosen distances (from 100 m for the youngest runners, until 10 km for experienced athletes).
For the first time, “Vyshyvanka Run" has taken place in 2014. This is the main sports event which is held on Independence Day. Due to the organizer, "Sports Fans Federation", the geography of this event has spread all over Ukraine and included such cities as Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipro and Uzhgorod.
In Kyiv, the run will take place on Rusanivska Embankment. Join the event and celebrate it with Ukrainians!
