You can wonder what combines Lviv citizens with cheese and wine. However, today few people know that four centuries ago the climate in Lviv was so warm that vineyards on the southern slopes of the High Castle, Lychakiv, and then on the hills of the Kaiserwald up to Vynnyky, gave the Lviv citizens more than hundred barrels of wine each year. In addition, Lviv citizens enjoyed delicious Italian, Cretan, Spanish and Hungarian wines, as Lviv was a major trading center.
Every day, guests will be able to visit the big fair of cheese and wine, which will feature products from both large producers and importers as well as regional organic products. The second day of the holiday will be devoted to "syrnyk" (Ukrainian cheesecake), one of the most beloved desserts of many people. You will be able to taste a variety of tasty cheesecakes from different manufacturers. The baking of giant Lviv Syrnyk by ancient recipes will take place together with the restaurants of Lviv. Then all guests of the holiday will have an opportunity to taste it.
