Ivan Franko Lviv National University has opened the International Summer School "Ukrainian Language and Culture Study". This year, 22 students from 12 countries, including Brazil, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, the Republic of Korea, Slovenia, the USA, France and Japan, have attended the school. Among the participants of the summer school there are teachers, entrepreneurs, journalists, students, scientists, employees and employees of international organizations from Europe and Asia, and all those who want to deepen their knowledge of the Ukrainian language and culture.
The Summer School program includes an intensive language course that will contribute to the formation of communicative, socio-cultural and pragmatic competencies of the students (56 hours). A series of lectures, which will be conducted by renowned scholars, journalists, analysts, public figures, art critics and outstanding creative individuals, will help foreigners better understand the key points of Ukrainian history, peculiarities of culture and modern socio-political and economics of Ukraine. In addition, the Summer School program includes a variety of local trips, excursions, projects and master classes.
