The Ukrainian film "Home" (EVGE) directed by Nariman Aliyev, where Ahtym Seitablayev acted, won the "Best Film" Award at the International Film Festival in Bucharest. According to the State Agency of Ukraine for Movie on its Facebook page, the full-length debut of the Crimean Tatar director received an award and a cash prize of 4 thousand Euro.
"I'm sure this is just the beginning of a successful festival life of this film! As expected, after the premiere in Cannes, at other festivals, attention is given to EVGE," says the Head of the Agency Philip Ilyenko. The film tells us the story of the Crimean Tatar, who, along with his younger son, goes on a sad journey. He carries the body of his eldest son from Kyiv to the Crimea to bury him at home, in his native land.
The Ukrainian premiere of "Home" will be held at the Odessa International Film Festival within the framework of the International Competition Program.
