Thinking what to see and do in Kyiv in summer? In Ukraine, the first wakesurfing festival will be held on the base of the City Swell Club in the Muromets Park, from June 11 till June 16, according to Informator. At Kyiv City Swell, athletes from all over the world will come to show a master class in young and developing water sports.
Kyiv City Swell includes 4 days of training and showcases by world-renowned athletes from Europe and the United States, including the World Champion Sean Silveira, 2 days of the world series of wakesurfing competitions, party with top DJs, contests and other activities.
Surfing is a whole philosophy and style of life. People travel to the ocean coast in search of their perfect wave. Wakesurfing is a young and dynamically developing water sports that allows you to surf in the city on the river. The organizers say that modern towboats are used to create the wave, and learning is faster, as you can learn to stand on the board after the first lesson.
During the festival, the best athletes of the world will compete in two disciplines: skim and surfer. Everyone will be able to watch the spectacle through a specially organized broadcast from the boat to the beach, as well as remotely during a live internet broadcast. On Saturday and Sunday, trampolines and balance boards will be installed on the territory of the festival. Anyone will be able to learn and train for free to keep up the balance, perform tricks.
