Thinking what to see and do in Kyiv? In the first week of June, on the first floor of the Museum of the History of Kyiv, an exhibition of Irina Akimova with the eloquent title "Just Summer!" was opened, according to Vechirniy Kyiv. It invites viewers into the world of bright colors and expressions, full of sunshine and delicate romance of true summer mood.
“I do a personal exhibition once a year. People are tired of politics, instability, they want a positive one. Summer is a wonderful time of the year, when many sun, everything around is fresh, green. Despite everything, I want to live and the world seems beautiful,” the artist Irina Akimova said. “This mood gives faith in the future, prompting you to save the world just as amazing, to multiply this beauty. I took simple stories such as shadows on the grass, spiders, flowers, starry sky above my head. All of them are united by positive emotions, a desire to live and the ability to see the natural beauty of the world. The paintings used specific decorative elements like bubbles which I borrowed from Art Deco style.”
In addition to painting, other art types are represented at the exhibition. These are art installations made on the basis of green plants. One of them is "Children are playing", which shows the
dynamics of children's games, the other one is called "Summer Bouquet" that also echoes the main theme. In addition, along with a Ukrainian photographer Sergei Tumasov, the artist prepared a
