In Kyiv, on June 1, at 10:00 in the Syretsky Park, the 66th season of the trains running of the Children's Railway will be opened, according to 44.ua. The new season, traditionally, will open with the updated and restored steam engine Gr-336.
"Young railroad lovers should come an hour earlier, at 09:00 to the main building for briefing," the Children's Railway specialists said.
We should note that the Children's Railway (also known as the Small South-Western Railway) is an out-of-school institution where children undergo vocational guidance for railway transport workers: a locomotive engineer, a locomotive assistant driver, a train attendant at a railway station, train running operator, conductor of the passenger car and the observer of the car.
The railway has a gauge of 750 mm width and a length of 2.75 km, as well as two stations: Yablonka and Vishenka.
