On 25 May, a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge was opened In Kyiv, according to 44.ua. It connects the Volodymyr Hill Park with the People's Friendship Arch.
The construction of the bridge began in 2018. The length of the bridge is 210 meters, and height - 22 meters. The authorities of Kyiv spent more than 400 million hryvnas on its construction. The bridge is made of concrete, iron, and glass.
The bridge can boast of walking and cycling paths, observation decks, and modern lighting. From the observation platforms of the bridge you can see the Dnipro River, the left bank and Podil, one of the oldest Kyiv’s districts. At the beginning of the bridge, from the side of Volodymyr Hill, a new fountain was installed.
The bridge connecting two tourist routes - the Volodymyr Hill Park and the Khreshchaty Park - will serve just for pedestrians and cyclists.
