Spectacular views on Andrew's Descent
If you travel to Kyiv, don't forget to add Andrew's Descent to your must-see places to visit. Take a stroll down one of the oldest and most beloved Kyiv's streets, lined with numerous souvenir stalls selling Soviet memorabilia, Ukrainian traditional things, beautiful oil and watecolor paintings.
Walking along Andrew's Descent, or called by Ukrainians - Andriyivsky Uzviz, you will enjoy the city's most artistic street. Here, there are a few nice cafes, art-galleries and museums. However, its jewel is the charming St. Andrew's Church, a wonderful baroque masterpiece designed by the Italian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli.
Everything here - the stunning Andrew's Church, handcrafted goods and even paving stone blocks - breathe the history, telling us 'This is the very Kyivan place'.
